Blacklist rules

What can be listed in the blacklist, which sources are required, what the statuses mean, and how a listed company can reply or ask for a correction.

What the blacklist is

The blacklist lists companies, brands, services and projects that public sources report problems with: payment delays, frozen funds, closed projects and similar. An entry states what a source says on the date shown. It is not a verdict on the company and not legal advice.

Entries are compiled from complaints, reviews and public statements; each entry names its sources. It is not a verdict, and the listed party has a right of reply.

What can be listed

  • Only companies, brands, services and projects. Private persons are never listed: no names, contacts or screenshots of private correspondence.
  • Only what can be checked. Every entry has at least one public source with its address, the type of source, the date it was published (if known) and the date we checked it. Without a source there is no entry.

Statuses

An entry carries a status that says how well the report is established. Statuses describe what is known, they do not pass judgement.

  • Reported: Public sources report a problem. The party has not confirmed it.
  • Disputed: The party disputes the reports. Both positions are in the sources below.
  • Confirmed officially: Confirmed by an official statement of the party itself, a regulator, a court or a platform notice.
  • Resolved: The problem has been resolved according to the sources below.
  • Needs a new check: The entry was not rechecked for more than 90 days. The facts below may be out of date.

How entries are worded

Entries say "according to <source> as of <date>". Words such as fraud or scam are used only when a court, a regulator or the company itself said so, with a reference to that statement. The wording is ours; a source's own words appear only as a short quotation.

Entries carry no scores, percentages, stars or "trust ratings".

Rechecks

An entry that has not been checked for 90 days is marked as needing a new check, and its status is no longer shown as current until it is rechecked.

Right of reply and removal

Every entry has a section on the right of reply. A listed party can write to us with evidence. When the refutation is documented, the entry is corrected or removed, and the change is added to the entry's history.

Entries are never removed or softened for payment. We place no affiliate links to listed companies.
